Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 eggs
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • Whisk dry ingredients together: flour, corn starch, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  • Beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
  • Add eggs and vanilla to the sugar-butter mixture and mix until combined.
  • Gradually mix in the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
  • Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Form equal balls of dough and place in grid on baking sheets with plenty of space. 6-24 cookies, depending on size.
  • Bake for 8 minutes, turning halfway. Then press each cookie ball flat with a spatula.
